Nnamdi Asomugha Kerry's husband, announced his retirement from football during a conference at Oakland Raiders headquarters, telling the crowd;
“After 11 seasons in the NFL, I will be retiring today. I’ve been blessed and fortunate to have a successful NFL career. Another journey is starting for me right now.”The 32-year-old NFL cornerback was cut by the San Francisco 49ers in early November but signed a one-year deal with the team in April after being waived by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2012.
He continued;
“Life happens. You start getting these feelings — it’s time,” he said. “I just felt that it was the right time.”He and is wife are expecting their first baby together soon, and when asked about his wife's stand on his decision, he said;
“I’ve had a lot of support from my family. Everybody’s just been great about it.”We wish them all the best now and in the hopeful future.
