Joshua Rodgers,32, whose stage name/screen name is Rod Dairy, came out openly on twitter as HIV positive. Says, it was confirmed by his doctors. His girlfriend, Cameron Bay, picture above, has also reported to be HIV positive, this is coming two weeks before her boyfriend got tested positive. She has also been in the porn industry since 2010.
"I know it happened last month," he said in an interview Tuesday with the Daily News. "I know I don't have a crazy lifestyle."Huffpost reports that last month, porn actress Cameron Bay said she tested HIV positive, which led to a week long shutdown of adult film production across the San Fernando Valley and beyond.
Rodgers her boyfriend has worked exclusively in gay porn since 2010 on sets that require condoms, and has been dating Bay for more than a year but did not want to draw conclusions on how he was infected.
Rod has worked as a porn star for 8 years.
Funny how a guy would be a "gay porn actor" and in real life, be heterosexual ( I am sure that is why it is called " acting"). I guess news like this, isn't "news" with their kind of work. At least they try to get themselves tested periodically to know their status. How many of us, who are "judgmental" have tested lately??
He and his girlfriend are able to control the spread, since it is still in its early stages. There are no signs, when you just get infected, that is why it is important to get oneself tested as frequently as possible to know ones status and provisions for the hopeful future.
