The Nigerian Censors Board STOP sales of pornography.


 

The National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) have decided to put a stop to the sales and distribution of over two million pornographic movies valued at =N=10million.
The announcement was made in a statement signed by the Acting Head, Corporate Affairs of the board, Mr Caesar Kagho, in Abuja.
It said the unwholesome movies were sized within FCT and its environs between January and June 2014.
According to the statement, 60 per cent of the movies are of pornographic content while 40 per cent are uncensored, unwholesome and pirated.
The statement said the seizures were carried out in Gwagwalada, Karu, Kubwa, Wuse market and Airport road in the FCT.
It said further that NFVCB was currently working with the Federal Ministry of Environment to secure a dump site to burn the seized films.
